In
our 2005 conference Marybeth Yarrington Harris, whose parents are both
members of the Tabernacle Choir, sang a beautiful song entitled Spirit
to Spirit. The lyrics were written by Sharon Barber whose poetry is regularly published by
Deseret Book. The music was written by Marybeth who had just discovered
her talent for composing. Spirit
to Spirit is now available as part of Sharon and Marybeth's first CD, If You Believe in Angels. It is a sweet, peaceful
album that we highly recommend. |
This
year Marybeth was at a family reunion and could not attend our
Conference, but she wrote a theme song especially for us. She
recorded the song, and our daughter Krystal put some pictures with it so
we could show it that day. There wasn't time for Krystal to take pictures to match the words, so she used pictures of
our grandchildren as a collage. Suddenly I realized that we
not only had a beautiful song but we had just made a family history
recording.
We
recommend that you purchase the CD of this song and make your own family
history DVD with photos and/or video. If you don't know how to do that, ask a
child -- our 7 year old grandson made a family movie using Movie Maker on Windows
XP.
Temples
of Learning song
is not just for homeschoolers (the word is not even mentioned); it is for
all families who take education in truth and light seriously. Since we believe every family
homeschools at least a little, the song can be an inspiration for all.

While
you are purchasing music, we highly recommend Janeen Brady's most
important album, I,
Nephi. The story is told in poetry and in 20 songs, including:
The
Prophet Said to Read the Book of Mormon
I Will Go and Do the Things
The Liahona
Nephi Built a Ship
It's a Bountiful Land
|
|
We guarantee that
you and your children will love this album. I, Nephi is also
available as a production, ideal for stake performances. |
