Saintly education requires Saintly patterns of thinking. Cultural and professional sub-groups -- education, counseling, medicine, investors, basketball players -- all have their own patterns of thinking that are sometimes not helpful and that impact on what we teach our children and how we live our lives. Our lifetime pursuit is to learn to think as God thinks. (Just what are they doing in the City of Enoch?)

Joyce Kinmont and her husband Dick have been home schooling since 1974. That's over a quarter of a century! In 1982 the entire family appeared on the Phil Donahue Show with John Holt. Today they are the parents of eight children and 15 grandchildren.
Joyce is the author of several books, has spoken to home school groups across the country, and is the founder of the Latter-Day Saint Home Educators Assn. The organization has no formal connection to the LDS Church, but its mission is to support LDS home schoolers everywhere through an e-mail list, a published newsletter, a small bookstore, and an annual conference.

socialization, competition, testing, and lots more and invites deep introspection about our
preconceived ideas. It is particularly helpful to beginners.
