LDS-HEA
Conference 2006 "Our
Homes Are Temples of Learning" Our
15th Conference, our best so far, was a day focused on Paul Mero of
Sutherland Institute started the day by speaking of how
homeschoolers enrich the community; Joyce Kinmont, Founder of
LDS-HEA spoke of the reasons why the Saints should
homeschool. Coke Newell shared an inspired leadership
pattern especially for dads (and useful for all of us), and Celestia
Shumway spoke of the unique roles of mothers. Rebecca Rocque
told us about our special "children of light;" LuJean
Livingston told us how to give them a spiritual education; and
Michelle Stone spoke of the differences in Telestial, Terrestrial,
and Celestial education. The day ended with Jack Monnett
speaking of learning by the Spirit and Sandy Stock telling of her
homeschool group's miraculous experiences in mailing 100,000 copies
of A More Perfect Union to schools across the country.
