Home School Family Album

     Chelsea & Lorraine Goodrich
The Goodrich
family is from Mt. Home, Idaho, where Brother Goodrich is a doctor and a bishop.  Chelsea, like her mother, Lorraine, is self-motivated and outing.  A serious student, Chelsea is enrolled in a home mentoring program through George Wythe College.
In October of 2000 Chelsea became the "poster child" of the home school movement when Elder David Haight spoke about her in General Conference.  She had memorized the Proclamation on the Family.  Chelsea spoke at our LDS-HEA Conference that summer; and her mother, Lorraine, spoke in 2002, and the entire family spoke at the UHEA Convention.  This family is a credit to the home school movement, and they certainly have Brother Haight's approval!

                 Daniel E. Witte
As a sixteen-year-old college freshman, Dan received an academic scholarship from B.Y.U.  Later he was awarded an Edwin S. Hinckley scholarship for public service and was chosen to be a Truman Scholar nominee.   Dan graduated magna cum laude at age nineteen; he was B.Y.U.'s youngest graduate of 1992.
After law school, Dan became the first completely home-educated legal professional in modern history to be selected for a one-year clerkship with a United States Court of Appeals judge.  He has also set up a scholarship organization for homeschooled students.   more
